What’s the funniest misunderstanding you’ve ever been part of?

I am practicing dentist who is engrossed in practice. Yesterday morning after my daily routine in the morning i went to kitchen for breakfast in hurry so that i dont miss my morning appointment. In hurry i just finished my breakfast nd ran to clinic. All day i was in clinic and by evening i was tired. I usually dont speak much in home.

Today morning my mom just started a conversation, and asked how is your practice going on?

I was casula and said it all ok. Lot of work, not only clinical but admin work load had increased recently. So i was in different. I just blurted out why do you ask? 

That is when mom came back to me to say yesterday i had breakfast in a lid of a big container rather than the plate. She guessed right i was so caught up in work that i didnt realise that i had breakfast in a lid till she came back to me with it…. Part funny, part concerning…
